After the great success with our Box League format the Bendigo Squash Club has decided to adopt this new form of play for their 2021 club championships. They will also be providing both formats of Squash and Racquetball divisions for the first time! Due to the postponement of our Bendigo International Tournament the Club has shifted the time of year forward for their club champs to provide Bendigo with some top quality matches for everyone to be involved in. Both the Club and the Centre look forward to holding what will hopefully be one of our best and most exciting championships yet!
All members of all ages are eligible to enter. Our Club Championships will be adopting a similar setup to our Box League competition this year as well as being brought forward in place our our postponed Bendigo International. This year the Club will be providing FREE entry to say thankyou for all the support they have received during our lockdowns and Covid enforced restrictions. The Championships will be held over a number of different divisions with Men’s, Women’s and Juniors options. Matches will be held over the course of 4 weeks consisting of at least 3 matches for each player. A Knock out competition with losing players returning to the draw to play for lower ranked positions will begin from Monday July 26th with the Junior grand finals to be played the night of Friday August 27th. Adult semi finals and grand finals will be played during the day of Saturday August 28th. No set day or time for round matches to be played each week but they must be completed in that week. You will organise your own match times with your opponents creating extra flexibility.
Club Championships will be played in place of the August Box League so make sure to register to still get your monthly matches in during that time. Just like the Box League, scores are to be submitted on the provided bulletin board after each match, only final game score is require e.g. 3 vs 1 not the total points score. As you move through the draw you can ask the Centre for player contact details to organise your next match, so please make sure these are up-to-date when registering. Best of luck to all our members in all levels, if you wish to become a member to take part in the Championships you can contact the Centre on 0435 654 953 or 03 5443 2777.

Squash for all levels - What's yours?
I've been a member of the club before
So much has changed around the Club in recent times and you'll love seeing all the new and old players having a ball. The social club has re-formed and there's plenty of action at the courts most nights of the week. Why not pop back in for a hit over the summer and see for yourself.
I've never played squash
Come and play our casual Wednesday night round robin for beginners to see if you're up for the challenge, the first night is free and we've got a coach on hand to get you into the game.
If you've played Tennis, Badminton or other racket sports you'll likely feel comfortable swinging the racket and be playing competitive squash in no time at all.
I've played before but it's been a while
If you're new to Bendigo Squash Club then you'll want to drop us a line to organise a hit, that way we can asses your ability and get you started on the appropriate competition night. Our beginners round robin on Wednesday night (from 7 pm) and club practice on Sunday (at 6 pm) are great options to get back into it and see where you're at.
